Saw a show on BBC4 not so long ago about music from the 50s,more specifically UK music,apparently at the time American acts weren't allowed to tour over here,some trade thing,anyway it allowed the likes of Cliff Richard and Billy Fury to make a name for themselves,until the rule was changed and the likes of Cochrane came over.
