Under pressure BBC bosses gave in to the Daily mail and public and media mass hysteria by suspending Jonathan Ross for 3 months (without pay) .
TV’s Jonathan Ross has been suspended from all BBC shows without pay for 12 weeks, following the prank calls row.
Director general Mark Thompson called Ross’s actions “utterly unacceptable”, adding that the presenter should regard it as a “final warning”.

Jonathan has also stepped down from presenting this years comedy awards.
A spokesman for Ross said of the British Comedy Awards: “It’s a show he very much enjoys being part of but would not want his participation in this year’s event to take away from the awards themselves or the many talented winners of the awards.”
