Smashing Pumpkins – Top 13 songs

Article by Xray

Smashing Pumpkins are one of the very few bands from the grunge era of the ’80s and ’90s that are still around today. Here are some of their videos from over the years:

1991 – I Am One

1993 – Today

1995 – Tonight Tonight

And another one from what could possibly be the greatest album ever recorded: Mellon-Collie and the Infinite Sadness:

1995 – 1979

Real Pumpkins fans try to forget the dismal follow-up to Mellon-Collie called “Adore” where the Pumpkins tried their hand at electronic and acoustic music, an album that was pretty much a flop.

1998 – Perfect

Luckily, with their next 2 albums: “Machina 1 & 2” saw a return to form.

2000 – Stand Inside Your Love

2001 – Real Love

The Pumpkins went on temporary hiatus after that, so Billy Corgan released one album as Zwan.

2003 – Honestly by Zwan

And one solo album.

2005 – Walking Shade by Billy Corgan

Back to Smashing Pumpkins in 2007.

2007 – Tarantula by Smashing Pumpkins

2010 – Freak

2012 – Panopticon

2014 – Being Beige (World’s On Fire)

  1. My fave Pumpkins song will probably be Today. First I ever heard so …
My fondest, most enduring memory of them will be of their performance at the now-legendary 1997 Glastonbury Festival. (Mudstock) Cold, a heap of mud. They were on before the headliners, Radiohead.
